Okay, so I was staring up at my ceiling last night (insomnia strikes again, yay me) and noticed a pretty decent-sized crack forming near the corner. Noticed some bubbling paint around there too—ugh. Now I'm debating whether to grab my tools and patch it up myself or just bite the bullet and call someone who actually knows what they're doing.
I mean, I've done some minor wall repairs before, nothing fancy but decent enough that visitors don't point and laugh. But ceilings seem trickier, you know? Gravity is not exactly your friend when you're smearing joint compound overhead...last time I tried something like that it ended with me covered in plaster bits and my cat judging me from across the room.
