Every single year, I swear I'm gonna stay on top of the whole heating and cooling maintenance thing. And every single year, I end up forgetting until something goes sideways. Like yesterday—my AC started making this weird rattling noise and now I'm kicking myself because I know it's probably overdue for a checkup. But who even remembers when you're supposed to do this stuff? I mean, changing filters I get (mostly), but all the other stuff—like checking coolant levels or whatever—is easy to lose track of.
Feels like there should be some easier way to remember or keep track of it without having to mark up my whole calendar or set 50 phone reminders that I'll inevitably ignore anyway. Am I alone in this or does anyone else kinda dread having to keep tabs on their HVAC system? How do you guys handle it?
