Saw this news segment yesterday about how more and more homeowners are ditching basic tiles and going for these super fancy, designer-type tiles. You know, the kind that look like they belong in a boutique hotel or something. Apparently, it's becoming a big trend to spend extra on tiles with unique textures, patterns, or even handmade ones imported from Italy or Spain. I mean, they looked gorgeous on TV, but then I googled some prices and... yikes. 😅
I get wanting your home to feel special and all, but I'm kinda torn. Like, is it really worth spending that much extra on something you're just gonna walk on or splash water onto every day? Or maybe it's one of those things you gotta see in person to appreciate fully.
Curious if anyone here has actually gone for these pricier tiles at home and if you think it was worth it in the end. Or maybe you've seen them somewhere else and thought "wow" or "meh"? Just wondering what others think about this whole fancy tile craze.
