Saw this news segment yesterday about how bathroom remodels, especially vanities and sinks, have shot up in price lately. Like, apparently even basic upgrades are costing way more than they did a couple years ago. I was thinking of redoing mine soon but now I'm second guessing it...maybe I'll just stick with my outdated sink for a bit longer, lol. Has anyone else noticed this lately or am I just out of touch?
You're definitely not imagining thingsβprices have noticeably jumped in the past year or two. Part of it is supply chain disruptions and material shortages, especially for wood and fixtures. If you're still considering an upgrade, you might want to look into refinishing your existing vanity or swapping out just the hardware and faucet. Did that myself recently, and it made a surprising difference without breaking the bank...just something to consider before you shelve the idea entirely.
